Stowmarket Chorale, ‘The Choir in the Heart of Suffolk’ is an ambitious, enthusiastic & friendly community choir, with a long history of promoting vocal music to a wide audience.
We are known for offering a friendly welcome to anyone coming along to try us out. We believe musical confidence and enjoyment are key and rehearsal programmes are tailored to support and engage everyone as we work towards giving uplifting performances. Our rehearsals are on Wednesday evenings from 7.30-9.30pm between September and July for three concert performances a year with professional soloists and orchestra.
We were founded in 1901. In 2026, the choir will celebrate its 125th anniversary with two major performances in Stowmarket.
